What do 9 month old Sophia, 3 year old Tiasia, 7 year old Jakeis and 15 year old Masheh have in common?  These children were all part of FBC’s 2016 Angel Tree list received from the Clarke County Division of Family and Child Services.  There are over 300 children in foster care with Clarke and Oconee DFCS.  FBC Athens has committed to adopt 40 children for this year’s ANGEL TREE PROJECT which provides an opportunity for church members to help make  Christmas special for a foster child. The children’s information and wish list will be available at the Angel Tree in the Branyon Foyer at scheduled times beginning this Sunday, November 12. Please consider selecting a child to adopt for Christmas. Gifts from their wish list should be returned to the church no later than Wednesday, December 6 at 4:30 p.m.  Contact Carol Rayburn Cofer (770-725-6655 after 6:00 p.m.) for more information. If you are unable to shop for a child, monetary donations will be accepted and members of the Virginia Appleton Circle will do the shopping for you!
