Adult Discipleship Options
The Reforming Questions Series will be a fall preaching series that will extend into small group discussions during the following week. Small group opportunities are being offered on Wednesday evenings (during the season when we will be out of the fellowship hall), and Sunday afternoons. Information is provided here for further explanation of the times AND places for these small group discussions and information about signing up to participate.
Brief Overview for Discussion Groups in the Reforming Questions Series
- Time Frame: 7 Weeks in October and November
- 2 Options for Meeting Times for Discussion Groups:
Wednesday Evenings 5:30 – 6:45 p.m.
Sunday afternoons 4:30 – 5:45 p.m.
- Sign Ups Needed: Individuals are asked to sign up for participation in the small groups. Make a choice for participation on either Wednesday or Sunday. Sign up online, by email, or by calling the church.
- Child care will be available, by request, for children birth to age 3. ALL child care will be provided at the church. (Those requiring child care will be in groups meeting at the church).
Option 1: Wednesday Evenings, 5:30 – 6:45 pm
Dates: Wednesdays, October 4 through November 15
Meeting locations for Wednesday sessions will be:
- Home of Tom & Debbie Brown
- Home of Helen & Milton Mills
- Home of Rick & Jill Dawson
- and the Church
A Meal will be served at each location with these Wednesday groups. Meals for the Wednesday evening small group discussion are being coordinated through the church and provided by a few of our local restaurant partners, including Taziki’s and Carrabbas. The meal cost to you will be the same cost structure as our Wednesday evening dinner. Adults meals $7.00 per person, Children, $3.50, and college students will be free. When signing up for the Wednesday small group, you will be automatically signed up for all seven weeks and the meals. Any cancellations for a specific week can be made by contacting the church by 12:00 Noon on the Monday prior.
Child care will be available, by request, for children birth to age 3. ALL child care will be provided at the church. (Those requiring child care will be in groups meeting at the church). When signing up for the Wednesday small groups you are asked to select a 1st choice and a 2nd choice for location preference.
Option 2: Sunday Afternoons, 4:30 – 5:45 pm
Dates: Sundays, October 1 through November 12
- All groups meeting on Sunday will meet at the church (during the same time as the children’s choirs and mission groups will be meeting).
- NO MEAL will be served on Sunday evenings
- Child Care will also be available during this time by request
Overview of the Meeting Time in Small Groups
The length of the small group session is 1 hour and 15 minutes (75 minutes total). The Format and Schedule for the session each week will be as follows:
Gathering (15 minutes)
Opening: scripture and prayer (3 minutes)
Meal and conversation (44 minutes): Allowing for people to eat together, and have conversation focused on the topic for the evening. *Sunday sessions will not have a meal, and will proceed directly to the time of conversation.
Prayer and Closing (3 minutes): A concluding prayer
Clean up (10 minutes) (Wednesday sessions only)

Opportunities for Children
Opportunities for children on Wednesday nights include Children’s Choir and Mission Kids.
There will be a change in schedule due to our remodeling of our building. From Sunday, October 1 through Sunday, November 12 our Children’s Choirs and Mission Kids program will move from Wednesday to Sunday. The schedule will be as follows:
4:30 pm – 5:15 pm Children’s Choirs – Brownie Bears, Music Makers and Joyful Singers
5:15 pm -6:00 pm Mission Kids – Pre-Kindergarten through Sixth Grade
Opportunities for Youth
Opportunities for youth on Wednesday nights include dinner and C.O.W. (Christ on Wednesday).
Members and guests are invited to make a reservation for supper. We offer a choice of hot meal, salad bar with baked potato, and a children’s menu option. The cost of adult meals is $7.00. The cost of children’s meals is $3.50. Supper line opens each week at 5:00 pm.
