Members of FBCA will once again be serving at CAMP HAWKINS from June 25-30. Camp Hawkins is run by the Georgia Baptist Children’s Home and Family Ministries to offer a five-day camp for children ages 8 – 21 with special needs including, but not limited to, ADHD, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Developmental Delays, Down’s Syndrome, Learning Disorders, or Traumatic Brain Injury. Many members have asked how they can help.

What you can do:

PRAY:  Pray for the ministry of Camp Hawkins, the volunteers, the campers and their families, and the camp staff.

Donate:  You may donate money to help with the expenses of camp by giving money to Athens First Baptist Church.  Please designate the money for Camp Hawkins on all donated checks. These funds pay for meals, supplies for a variety of activities for the campers, laundry detergent, pictures of campers, and paper products used during the week. Any extra money will be used to help with the costs for field trips, camp t-shirts, water bottles, and other needs as they arise.  You may also donate gift cards for Walmart, Ingles, Home Depot, Lowes, VISA or MASTERCARD.

Visit Camp: 800 Rudeseal Rd. Mt. Airy, GA 30563

The best times to visit are Thursday or Saturday morning or for the Talent Show on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. . Contact Carol Reddish or Connie Ivester for more information.
